Nick Hanna

Nick Hanna oversees patent management activities and is the primary contact for KU and KUMC faculty inventors and outside patent counsel for intellectual property protection and patent prosecution matters. He ensures the timely filing of patent applications, office action responses, and payment of fees. Prior to joining KU, Nick worked in private practice assisting with patent prosecution and assessing patentability, state-of-the art, and validity of issued patents. Nick is a two-time Jayhawk graduate: he earned a JD from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2015 and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas School of Engineering in 2012. In his free time, Nick enjoys reading, golfing, and keeping up with Jayhawk basketball.
