myResearch is a comprehensive software suite that helps researchers and staff manage grants, contracts, compliance and other activities throughout the research life cycle.

KU Medical Center implemented myResearch to streamline processes and improve access to information for researchers and staff. Through the One KU myResearch Expansion Project, these capabilities are being extended across the university, creating a shared research administration platform for all KU campuses.
As new modules are introduced, researchers and staff will use myResearch to manage activities such as contracts, grant applications, compliance reviews, award management and other research-related processes through a single platform. The system will also establish shared researcher and organizational data across One KU, enabling more consistent processes, improved visibility and a better user experience.

myResearch expansion timeline

- myAgreements is targeted to go live in October 2026.
- IRB/CITI and COI modules are planned later in 2026.
- Grants implementation begins in late 2026 and continues through July 2027.
- IACUC and AOPS implementation begin in 2027 and continue into 2028.

Modules + training resources
myAgreements is the agreement management module within myResearch. It provides a centralized platform for managing agreements from submission through final execution, helping researchers and research support staff track progress, access documentation, collaborate with reviewing offices, and manage agreement information through a single online system. By bringing workflows, communications and records together in one place, myAgreements is designed to improve visibility, consistency and efficiency throughout the agreement life cycle.
The initial October 2026 rollout on the Lawrence campus will support agreements managed by the Fiscal Affairs team, including procurement- and contract-related agreement processes. Future implementation phases will expand myAgreements to support additional agreement types, including sponsored-project agreements, as other myResearch modules are deployed.
