KU Medical Center implemented myResearch to streamline processes and improve access to information for researchers and staff. Through the One KU myResearch Expansion Project, these capabilities are being extended across the university, creating a shared research administration platform for all KU campuses.
As new modules are introduced, researchers and staff will use myResearch to manage activities such as contracts, grant applications, compliance reviews, award management and other research-related processes through a single platform. The system will also establish shared researcher and organizational data across One KU, enabling more consistent processes, improved visibility and a better user experience.

myResearch is KU's research administration system, based on the Huron suite of software solutions. Currently serving research administration and operations functions at KU Medical Center, myResearch is expanding to provide a shared platform for research administration across One KU through a phased rollout of expanded tools, modules and services.
As part of the One KU research initiative, KU is expanding myResearch to support research administration across the university through a shared technology environment. The expansion will occur in phases, with additional modules and capabilities introduced over time.
The first One KU functions within the myResearch environment will go live Oct. 12, marking the beginning of a phased expansion of research administration capabilities across One KU. The first module to expand service across One KU is myAgreements
myAgreements is the agreement management module within myResearch. It provides a centralized system for submitting, reviewing, tracking and managing research agreements throughout their life cycle. The platform is designed to improve visibility, consistency and efficiency by bringing agreement-related workflows and information together in one location.
No. myAgreements is designed to support multiple agreement types across the research enterprise. The Oct. 12 expansion focuses on selected agreement types currently managed by Research Fiscal Affairs on the Lawrence campus. Additional Lawrence campus agreement types and functionality will be added through future expansion phases.
No. Lawrence campus sponsored research agreements managed by Research Contract Negotiations are not part of the initial implementation. These agreements are expected to become available in alignment with future expansion of grants-management capabilities within myResearch.
Resources, training materials and implementation updates will be available through this One KU myResearch website and will continue to expand as new capabilities are introduced.
myAgreements
myAgreements is the agreement management module within myResearch. It provides a centralized platform for managing agreements from submission through final execution, helping researchers and research support staff track progress, access documentation, collaborate with reviewing offices, and manage agreement information through a single online system. By bringing workflows, communications and records together in one place, myAgreements is designed to improve visibility, consistency and efficiency throughout the agreement life cycle.
The initial October 2026 rollout on the Lawrence campus will support agreements managed by the Fiscal Affairs team, including procurement- and contract-related agreement processes. Future implementation phases will expand myAgreements to support additional agreement types, including sponsored-project agreements, as other myResearch modules are deployed.

Who is affected by the Oct. 12 expansion?
The initial expansion primarily affects KU Lawrence faculty, staff and administrators who submit agreement requests managed by Research Fiscal Affairs. KU Medical Center users will continue using myResearch for their established business processes and may see new details within the system as it expands to serve One KU.

The Oct. 12 expansion includes agreement types managed by Research Fiscal Affairs, on the Lawrence campus including:

How will agreement submission change for Lawrence users?
Beginning Oct. 12, eligible Research Fiscal Affairs agreement requests will be submitted through myAgreements rather than through TDX, webforms or other existing submission methods. Users will submit requests and track progress through a single system.
How do I submit an agreement request in myAgreements?
To submit an agreement request:
- Access myAgreements.
- Select the agreement type that best fits your business need.
- Attach any required supporting documentation.
- Submit the request for review.
- Monitor your email for updates or requests for additional information.
What is a Clarification Request?
A Clarification Request is a notification generated through myAgreements when additional information is needed to review or process an agreement. Common reasons include missing documentation, questions about the scope of work, funding or business information, required approvals, or corrections to submitted information. Responding promptly can help avoid delays.
Will there be training?
Yes. KU Lawrence faculty, staff and administrators who submit agreements managed by Research Fiscal Affairs were strongly encouraged to attend the live myAgreements demonstration and overview webinar on Oct. 1. The session provided an overview of the system and demonstrated the new submission process to help Lawrence users prepare for the transition.

What changes will KU Medical Center users see?
Following the One KU launch, KU Medical Center users will see additional menu options related to Lawrence-campus functions. Some people, organizations and agreement types will be labeled with "KUMC" or "KULC" to identify the campus they serve. Users should select the option that corresponds to the correct campus.
